If you want to engage in something un-natural like sexual intercourse then fork out the 1,500 baht bar fine and take your leather feather duster and your lady back to your place. The Cave has a dress code of which the colour black is one of the necessary component parts. It opens at 5:30PM and closes at 2:00AM and at present has a staff of around 14 dominatrixes/submissives who have been trained by an Englishman. A lady drink is 250 baht, but the bar has a strict policy dissuading damsels from asking for a libation. The choice is completely up to the customer. Country Club Has a band that starts about 8pm FLB 7pm-2am The FLB (Misleadingly, The Free Lancers Bar) – nice bar, air conditioned and if want a glass of beer in a very friendly and a good place for it. The band is also OK. I chose a sit near the bar and two ladies immediately sat on both of my side. The ladies are pushing in a rough way to get a lady drink. Girls have to get 60 a month, if not it will be deducted from her salary. I was asked all the time to buy drinks. Heineken draught at 60 baht as is Thai whisky. Most spirits at 95 baht. Golden Girl Noon - Midnight Short time bar with about 30 girls. Jan 2005: The Harley bar is big. It looks like an old fashioned Western themed bar you might see in Arizona. They have 3 or 4 pool tables in the back. If you decide to take a girl, there is a 150 baht bar fine and 200 baht for a ST room in the hotel. The rooms are nice since it is a relatively new hotel. Red silk sheets. I asked the girl how much and she asked me why I was asking and then quoted 1000 Baht(going rate is 700). They had some good looking girls though July 2004: Suffered the uninvited and ego sapping attractions of the oldest woman in the bar who would not go away even when given the cold shoulder treatment. Only option is to leave. Why on earth do the managers allow this to happen. Never again...even though it is my local short time bar. Hide Away Bar I guess there were 8 girls on entertainment duty. The bar is as the name suggests an indoors closed bar. It has a popular pool table. Fans rather than air con though. Certainly worth a return visit. Draft Chang at 40 Baht, Lady drinks at 90 Baht. Bar fines are 300 Baht Jade House Day time & early evening only It is a little tricky to find. Travelling from Pattaya Beach, up the incline of Thappraya Road, a small lane named "Jomtien Nivate" drops down to your left (And as previously mentioned on this board has a "Jade house" sign. There is also a prominent spaghetti for 80 baht advert). About 150m down this lane, turn right into a smaller lane which leads you straight into the Jade House. The House itself has some seating outside and is on a raised level, perhaps 50m down this smaller lane. Jade House is a typical short time place inside like on Soi 6, but with a lot of bungalow style rooms for rent, some of which are used for short times....kind of like Welkom Inn does. Jade House should have someone for just about everyone's taste, and the 5 I sampled all were good to excellent performers. June 2005: I went there today at 3pm with a mate. There were only about 8 girls there and no lookers. A couple sat down with faces like a bulldog chewing a wasp, and left after about 2 minutes. Shows start later and the evening and feature a cross between gogo and thai classical dance Palace Bar An interesting (actually scary) situation occurred during my last trip. At which point I got a little bold and we tried to complain to the mamasan. She did nothing. Red Point This bar was simply chock full of doable ladies. There were a slew of them. There really were no hags at all as far as the eye could see. Just one after another of beauties. Now for the real test. Prices. Were they going to quote a high number, and force me to bargain, which I hate to do as I think it's a mood killer, or, will she say the right number, and then allow me to decide whether her performance merited a tip. Luckily, it was the latter. I was quoted 250 for the room, and 500 for the girl. Excellent I thought. Well, the room was outstanding. While not up to Jade standards, it was good enough. Only issue was community shower, not in room, as the lovely Jade has. Spricy Bar Now serves food and a good place for a game of pool or darts. Waow's Pub
